About the Position
As a Junior Assistant Controller, you will support the Finance Manager in managing and optimizing the financial administration. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial data, reliable reporting, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
You will report directly to the Finance Manager and become part of a team of six. This position is ideal for an ambitious finance professional who wants to grow into a leadership role within a structured retail and logistics organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as administrative point of contact in the absence of the Financial Controller
- Ensure accurate processing of purchase, sales, and bank administration
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
- Review and analyze general ledger accounts
- Prepare management reports and financial overviews
- Identify and improve internal processes and controls
- Support audits and provide required financial documentation
- Assist with payroll administration and HR-related matters
- Manage HR administration including onboarding, offboarding, personnel files, sick leave, and vacation tracking
- Serve as administrative contact for employees and managers regarding HR topics
Your Profile
- HBO degree in Finance, Business Economics, or Accounting
- 2–4 years of experience in financial administration
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, ERP systems, and Excel
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and structured
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive mindset and eagerness to grow
